STAGE UP, the Bernese Business Creation Competition, is organized by the Department of Management of Entrepreneurship. In 2022, it takes place for the 6th time.

At STAGE UP, people with a promising business idea can qualify for coaching and participation in exclusive workshops in a first round. In the final event, the five best teams present the developed business model in front of the audience and the jury, and the first three teams win prize money totaling CHF 18,000.
STAGE UP primarily targets students, researchers, and other employees of the University of Bern and the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Still, participation is also possible for individuals without university affiliation. The main goal is to support and further develop teams with promising business ideas and entrepreneurial projects.

STAGE UP always takes place in the first few months of the year. The 2022 Award Night takes place on May 10, 2022. The next submission period starts in November 2022.
