5th Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics 2025

The Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED) and the Department of Economics at the University of Bern are pleased to invite you to a workshop on regional and urban economics. This event will bring together leading scholars and promising researchers, offering excellent opportunities for networking and collaboration. We welcome empirical and theoretical contributions from all areas of regional and urban economics, particularly those focusing on spatial policies, regional development, housing, and consumption amenities.

Schedule:

• Start: Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at 10:00 am
• End: Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 6:00 pm
• Optional Excursion: Saturday, February 15th, 2025, in the Bernese Alps.

The program will feature approximately 15 papers. Each paper will have a 45-minute slot. CRED will provide hotel accommodation and meals. Participants are responsible for their travel expenses. Previous workshop programs (2015, 2022, 2023, and 2024) are available on our website.
