The Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED) is an interfaculty hub for research, teaching and advice on questions of regional economic development. The Center encompasses an association of scientists dedicated to examining regional development from an economic, economic-geographic and a business perspective.
The CRED aspires to be a nationally and internationally accepted academic center of competence for analysing, evaluating and shaping the factors relevant to the development of economic areas. The work conducted by the researchers united at the Center is based on scientific methods. It is also designed to be of clear practical relevance. The Center sees itself as a scientific port of call for questions concerning economic development as well as for applied and policy-oriented research and advice for regional, cantonal, national and international public and private bodies.
